Description: Hard Cover. 8vo.; in publisher’s flexible boards; 36 pages, with large folding plan (52 cm x 68 cm) of Paris des Magasins du Bon Marche, at the rear; with an insert image “Vue Generale des Magasins du Bon Marche”, the plan printed in pinks and green; with an attached finding ribbon or tape indicator; the front endpaper is detached, and the flexible boards have a couple of tears.~~Le Bon Marche was created by M. Boucicaut; it is considered to have been the first modern department store.~~Uncommon, especially with it’s pink finding ribbon; we locate (even with the finding ribbon!) a single copy on OCLC.
