The Creole Choctaw artist Hambone grew up in the bayou country of Louisiana, a setting that has proven to be the basis for his distinct form of folk art.  A self-taught artist, Hambone's work depicts the rich and vibrant history of the Deep South in a simple and lighthearted way and, if you were lucky enough to have grown up in or visited the area, is sure to bring back memories of a truly unique culture and way of life.
