Bei meinem Besuch vor ein paar Jahren in meinem Geburtsort in Hinterpommern - jetzt Polen - kamen mir unzählige Erinnerungen. Immer wieder baten mich meine Kinder, dies doch einmal aufzuschreiben. So entstand eines Tages diese kleine Zusammenfassung meiner Kindheit. Es schildert mein Leben in Hinterpommern bis zum 12. Lebensjahr, die Flucht von Hinterpommern nach Deutschland und die Erlebnisse in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Als ich diese Zeilen verfasst hatte, kam ich zu der Auffassung, auch die nachfolgenden Lebenserinnerungen zu Papier zu bringen, denn es wurde immer aufregender und spannender. Das aber vielleicht in einem weiteren Büchlein.
