Cuttings from well-established stapelia grandiflora succulent. These are also known as toad plant, carrion plant, starfish cactus, and several other names. These plants are a great conversation piece and very interesting collector plant. The flowers have a distinctive stink to them  (that is where the name "carrion flower" comes from). This variety has large, flesh-red flowers and beautiful green stems. It does not have spines, but there are soft "hooks" up the stems. They do well as houseplants. Leave indoors for colder temps, move outdoors in the spring. They need some direct sun to bloom, but do not want full sun during the hottest parts of the day. Care is pretty easy. They need more water than many succulents, but do not want to be soggy. They grow well from cuttings as long as the growth medium does not get soggy. The plants can get quite large.

There are some great online guides for growing these plants, I would read a few to pick up some good care tips.

The plant may appear dry or stressed when you receive it. Simply plant it in a pot and leave at bright location without direct sunlight for a few days. Then you can begin watering the plant, gradually introducing more sunlight, and watching it thrive.

Will include two cutting ready for rooting. Cuttings will be healthy and ready to root.
Rooting in damp peat moss is recommended.

Our garden is 100% ORGANIC. We do not use any chemicals.

This is a very special plant that fascinates everyone.
