This Rebuild & Repair kit contains every following component on the ENI CD V-700 PCB:  Capacitors, Transistors, Diodes, Rectifiers & Resistors, PLUS a FIX for the original lack of a Voltage Regulator...this deficiency made the ENI notorious for failures that were sudden & without warning. The only components not included are the rotary switch, transformers, Geiger–Müller Tube, probe assembly and the calibration potentiometers.


* THE FIX * for the original lack of a Voltage Regulator, which maintains & regulates the 910V High Voltage requirement, is unique, and specifically designed for the ENI/Electro-Neutronics 6B.   It's a modern Solid-State upgrade that will make this problem, the notorious issue of the ENI failing suddenly & w/o warning, finally be history for this beautiful Geiger Counter.

 

All components included in this kit are produced by the top Global Semiconductor manufactures:  Kemet, TDK, On Semi, Motorola, Vishay, Nichicon, Yageo, Würth Elektronik & Stackpole.  The PNP Transistors are Russian manufactured, intended to withstand an EMP, electro-magnetic pulse, from a nuclear blast; these are better and more durable than our best 2N404 transistors, according to most Geiger gurus.

 

While all this sounds cool, if you’re an electronics lover like us, but what it really says is that these components are made to higher standards than the OE requirements of the GC, perform optimally and made to last for decades in your Geiger counter.  These components are more durable, consistent & precise, as 55 years of semiconductor advancement has occurred, than the original ruggedized CD V-700s.


A Detailed 8-Page Instruction Manual ships with the kit, but you will need to have the skills to test components, de-solder and replace them without damaging the board.
