Castable fishing weed rake ® Casting fishing weed rake, 95mm, 120mm or 180mm.
(This design is registered with the Patent Office and as such, subject to copyright law. Reg. no. 6053076 ).

These small castable rakes are strong and sturdy, made with a steel central shaft of 12mm square hollow section,
and welded prongs of 4mm bar, which, being angled, have more 'grab' than vertical tines.
They are finished in three coats of black zinc oxide primer, and could be top coated if you wish.

This type of small rake is generally used with a strong braid mainline (35lb/ 40lb plus), and cast several times to clear small amounts of weed at a time.
The smaller rake is 95mm wide, weighing approximately 87g, whilst the larger rake is 120mm wide, weighing 117g.

The 180mm, 152 g (5.36 oz) rake was originally a custom order for a carp angler, who uses it successfully with 80lb braid line.
They make ideal small and lightweight throwing rakes when used with light polypropylene rope, but feel free to use them for casting if you see fit.

***The 180mm also works perfectly with the 'Nash Bushwacker Pole' for perfect rake placement. Thanks to 'Steve' for the images***
