We recently found this beautiful Vintage Porcelain Dish. Based upon the Lion back stamp mark, this dish could have been made by either Frankenthal or Schwarzenhammer. It was definitely made before May 5, 1955 because that is when the "Germany, U. S. Zone" ceased to exist.

This serving dish would make a great addition to your Dining Room Decor, your table setting, your serving dishes for nuts and candies, a table centerpiece, or coffee table decor.

The dish has a white background, with a hand painted floral spray in the bottom center of orange, pink and green flowers. The sides have a lattice style design. It is accented with gilt gold and embossing around the inside. There is a small handle at each end of the dish. The maker's name is not stated, but the bottom back stamp states "Germany, U. S. Zone". The mark includes a standing lion.

This dish is oval shaped, measuring 8-1/2 inches long (from handle to handle at the ends) and 5 inches wide. It is right at 1-1/2 inches tall, from the top rim to the bottom base. It is about 1 inch deep before it reaches the lattice side. The bottom base is 3 inches by 5 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.

All proceeds from sales on this website will be used to support Pool Of Siloam Ministries. As chaplains with a South Florida hospital system, we encourage patients and staff with visits, music, and prayer. We also have a book that we give away to encourage patients. “In The Dance Of Life or How To Kick Cancer Out The Door” is the true story of our son's healing journey through two cancers.

Thank you!
