Pedro de Oraá Carratalá Poet, narrator, essayist, critic of plastic arts and Cuban painter. He was born on October 23, 1931 in Havana, In 1961 he founded the Pálpite Editions (Havana) In 1964 he moved to Bulgaria, where he lived for two years with the aim of knowing the Bulgarian language and literature. That same year (1964) he co-founded the Belic Publishing House. In 2011 he won the National Book Design Award and in 2015 the National Plastic Arts Award

Nació el 23 de octubre de 1931 en La Habana, En 1961 fundó las Ediciones Pálpite (La Habana) En 1964 se mudó a Bulgaria, donde residió dos años con el objetivo de conocer la lengua y la literatura búlgaras. Ese mismo año (1964) cofundó la Editorial Belic. en 2011 obtuvo el premio Nacional de Diseño del Libro y en 2015 el premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas
