These beads are second quality due to slight imperfections in the patterns.  
NOTE:

Kazuri means "small and beautiful".  These beautiful ceramic beads are handmade by vulnerable women in Kenya.  Each bead is made with the clay from Mt. Kenya and shaped and painted by hand and have several kiln firings before you see the amazing finished product.  Kazuri is a member of the Fair Trade Federation and each woman earns more than the usual wage in Kenya to help support their entire family. Their families are even offered healthcare.
Because this product is made totally by hand and painted with free-hand designs, slight variations and imperfections are to be expected in the product. We believe this adds to the beauty of the hand-made design. Some beads are second quality due to irregularities in the pattern.
A portion of all purchases is donated to Gateway to Victory Learning Center in Kericho, Kenya, a non-profit, which feeds and educates orphans and vulnerable children.
