Manuscript of a Letter written to General Francisco Sánchez by Máximo Gómez in June 1899. Due to the time it has the document it was restored although there are still signs of deterioration.

Manuscrito de una Carta escrita al General Francisco Sánchez por Máximo Gómez en Junio de 1899. Debido al tiempo que tiene el documento fue restaurado aunque aun quedan muestras de deterioro.

I am very pleased to see that you are always in your position, there is no shortage of resources or obstacles stop you from directing everything that is great and beneficial for the good of this country, you do not neglect and work in peace, as he knew how to do it in the War.

Fragmento de la carta.. ̈...mucho me complace ver que Usted siempre en su puesto no escasea medios ni lo detienen obstáculos para encaminar todo aquello que sea grande y provechoso para el bien de este país, no desatiende usted y trabaja en la paz, como supo hacerlo en la Guerra.

Máximo Gómez Báez (November 18, 1836 - June 17, 1905) was a Dominican military man of the Ten Years War and the General in Chief of the Cuban revolutionary troops in the Cuban War of Independence.
