This 19th century original bronze sculpture from Louis Auguste Moreau has wonderful character. Signed "Aug. Moreau" (1855-1919) on the terrace. Height: 70cm. Weight: approx. 15kg.

Born to a family of celebrated sculptors in Dijon, France, Louis Auguste Moreau went on to regularly exhibit his work in the Paris Salon.

Our antiques and vintage items are predominantly collected from local markets and fairs in and around the Normandy, Brittany, Pays de la Loire and Paris regions of France, guaranteeing premium quality and authenticity.

UK DELIVERY & CUSTOMS We source and list much of our stock in Normandy and throughout France. With new Brexit regulations in place, we bear customs fees and taxes at the point of importation to the UK so that there are no additional charges to our UK customers beyond the purchase price and delivery charge. We are no longer dispatching smaller items by parcel courier directly from France to the UK to make absolute sure of this. Instead, we will use UK domestic parcel services once the item arrives at our Wiltshire address. Larger and more fragile items will continue to be delivered by private courier.
