The paper has a small tear top right and was lined onto a canvas. Some spotting shown.

Image is about 19”x23”

30x35” is the outer dimension ... it’s a large heavy all wood frame on the outside, the gold filigree frame is separate and the matting looks to be attached to this. The painting itself is stretched on a stretcher bar.

At first I thought it may have been president taft but after seeing San Francisco 1896, I’m no longer sure who it is, any guesses out there?
