The male connector will replace the switch side, the female replaces the wiring loom side.
In addition, this 4-way connector is used extensively by Ducati for many other applications.

These are excellent, micro connectors which incorporate a waterproof seal, bringing them up to IPX7 standard.
Their small size means they are particularly suitable to tight locations. In addition they have many automotive and industrial applications.
Please check that your connectors match those shown, however, I have included photos of from all sides in order to help you to ensure they are the ones you are looking for.
