Improved with expanded bandwidth up to 2.25gbps. The hd170a converts the hdmi cable interface to a dual cat 5/6 cable format. It can support up to 1080p with a maximum distance of 100 feet on cat 5 and 150 feet on cat 6. Due to the problematic nature of capacitive loading over hdmi cable systems the hd170a incorporates a unique serial data restorer designed to clean up and restore hdcp and edid signals. Plus the device includes spectrum's signature diagnostic system to visually verify the entire hdmi data communication from source to sink (display).
