Ilaria Ventorini Fendi is the youngest daughter of Anna Fendi and started her company in 2006. Carmina Campus, brand of accessories, jewelry and furniture promote a culture of sustainability and re-use, created by the pioneer fashion designer and social activist Ilaria Venturini FENDI  featured in the famed Takashimaya with a special selection of bag, being part of the series Made in Africa, special project developed by teaming with the UN Agency ITC. Her work have been sold for trunk show of a special collection of bags in limited edition (including just 200 items) she made exclusively for Takashimaya.

The main concept for the project behind the designs: Carmina Campus is a sustainable project, conceived and designed by Ilaria Venturini Fendi.  Her goal is to create working creative opportunities in compromised communities in places around the world where there might otherwise be none.  The materials used are all upcycled or recycled.  Upcycled is a term referring to items that were never used for their original purpose.  Her fascinating wearable art incorporates car seat material, bottle  caps, and wool army blankets. Items use material again that may have scratches etc.  Her campaigns for social development and in favor of women’s rights as well as for sustainable environmental safeguards are key elements to her concept. Ilaria Venturini Fendi is going to be appreciated into the generations for her innovation as an artist working in the field of handbags the way Duchamp in his time and Warhol in his time changed the way we see the world through art.
