ALEX RAYMOND'S FLASH GORDON SEPT 9th 1934. 36TH ORIGINAL FULL PAGE OF THE STRIP. Raymond's art now dynamic flowing, Panels bigger.  Flash, Thun Zarkov and men escaping from the Atomic furnaces. Raymond's Jungle Jim as header strip, 4th PAPER DOLL, PRINCE THUN/LIONMAN. Jane Arden on back. Smaller St Louis Post broadsheet around 20" by 14 5/8". 

 Rare for these FG early pages as most collectors don't sell & the rest are mainly in institution collections 

 UNCUT PAPER DOLL PAGE RARE, dynamic Atom furnace panels, unique and will be endlessly collectible and valuable as comic strip art especially in this v nice condition.

 Bright complete, supple, good margins on three sides, little closed tear nicks, chipping tad ragged, easily trimmed cut closer on one, panels all complete, off white with light age toning. No crease line. Paper, Color, Printing all VG or better so rare & collectible page

 Alex Raymond's, Flash Gordon in the first 5 years 1934-38 was a work of art, romantic & sensuous, Raymond ranking with Allan St John & Joseph Clement Coll as the greatest of fluid line action illustrators. The glory of Raymond's work is in the early years 1934/38, late 1934/1935/36 hitting a peak.
