This is a fossil tooth from Basilosaurus.  This enormous creature was 40-65 feet in length and lived about 40 million years ago during the late Eocene time period.  This piece was found in Morocco, North Africa. 

Length 3 inches, width 1 1/2 inches by 3/4 inch, weight 1.4 ounces
