Award Winning Australian artist Shaun Tan did the illustrations to Steven Paulsen's, Australian sci-fi author, scary fantasy.
This was Shaun Tan's 4th book he illustrated, and the first of 7 he illustrated in the ''After Dark'' series, edited by Gary Crew.
Detailed and macabre graphite pencil and pen & ink drawings by Tan showcase his early talent.
He has gone on to be a multi-award winning author and illustrator, including an
Oscar for his animated short story, ''The Lost Thing'';
and in 2011 was awarded the
Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.
