    This is an ORIGINAL poster not a reproduction. Wilhem Hoffmann Dresden is part of the collection of "Les Maitres de l'Affiche" and has the dry stamp an registration which is accompanied on all 256 "plates" from the series.

   Les Maitres de l'Affiche (The Masters of the Poster) is a series of small format posters, meticulously hand lithographed ,identical to the original large format advertising posters.   Mostly by the same artists who did the large size posters.. stone lithographs.... by over 90 artists were produced, stamped and numbered from 1896-1900. The 256 color plates from Les Maitres de l'Affiche series vary in type of paper they where printed on and how they where sold monthly in folders...annually bound in books.
