Alesis AI-2 Sync Interface OS v2.00 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT

• This upgrade version v2.00 is the latest update released by Alesis for the AI-2 sync interface unit.
• Included will be 1 new EPROM chip, which will be labeled accordingly to indicate which IC socket the EPROM is to be installed to.
• The EPROM upgrade chip included in this listing is directly sourced from Alesis during my tenure as a repair technician. They are not copies, which are programmed on to so-called “new” EPROM chips of questionable nature.

Please note that the AI-2 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chip is.

• Most AI-2 units in circulation were shipped with firmware revision v1.05. This 2.00 supplemental release aims to resolve clock sync issues with ADAT units as well as finalize any outstanding firmware bugs that some users happen to experience with earlier firmware revisions.
• Personally, I’ve found v1.05 to be stable as-is however I have made this available for fellow users that naturally wish to have the latest updates available for their respective AI-2 units.

Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.

All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
