These camshafts have a 3-bolt timing gear pattern and will require a 3 bolt conversion kit if your OE LS3 camshaft is single bolt. Single bolt versions of the cam are available by request, but we highly recommend upgrading to the three bolt conversion.
NOTE: The
valve spring kit included is designed for stock style valve guides ONLY. The
valve spring kit will not work with aftermarket bronze valve guides. Please
contact prior to purchase if another spring kit is needed for your
application.
NOTE: 7.400" pushrods come standard, if another length is required please contact us prior to purchase to substitute sizing.
NOTE: The 112 Lobe Separation Angle (LSA) is standard. However, 111, 113, or 114 LSAs are available by request. Please specify in payment notes or contact us prior to purchase if any other LSA is preferred.

The 229/244 camshaft is a great mid-duration camshaft for power applications from 3000 RPM+. This camshaft is an excellent choice for customers wanting more power than our 225/236 yet still wanting to retain nice streetability. Automatic-equipped vehicles will require a minimum stall speed torque converter of 2,600 RPM. We recommend this camshaft for LS3 or LS2 engines using L92/LS3 rectangle port cylinder heads!"
