1969 FIRST MAN on the MOON Air Mail Single -MINT-GENUINE- Stamp # C76

This First Man on the Moon issue was the first jumbo-size American commemorative.

The engraved master die to this stamp accompanied the astronauts all the way to the moon’s surface.

An envelope bearing a proof of the stamp was also actually canceled in the space module.
