Roland MKS-100 OS 1.04 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT

• Firmware OS v1.04 is the latest known operating system issued by Roland for the MKS-100.
• Included will be 1 new EPROM chip, recently manufactured to ensure data integrity well past our natural lifetime.

Keep in mind that the MKS-100 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chip is.

Unlike some others, No used or refurbished as “new” components will be supplied here.

• The 1.04 firmware upgrade is said to contain several bug fixes, improved stability in some cases and finalized system code optimizations.
• The easiest way to determine what firmware revision your MKS-100 is running is by opening the unit and having a look at what the EPROM in IC26 is labeled as.
• If you see any other firmware revision and are unsure, send me a message and I will try to help you make proper sense of it.

Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.

All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
