Korg 01/w OS Version 62 EPROM Firmware Upgrade SET

• This version 62 is the latest known operating system firmware issued by Korg for 01/w.
• Included will be 2 new EPROM chips, to ensure data integrity well past our natural lifetime.

Keep in mind that the 01w itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chips are.

Unlike some others, No used or refurbished as “new” components will be supplied here.

• The version 62 upgrade is compatible with the entire 01/w series such as the FD, Pro and Pro X.
• Certain 01/w main board revisions do not come with removable EPROM sockets and instead have the EPROM chips soldered directly to the main board.
• Before purchasing, Please verify the current installed firmware in your 01/w – Firstly, Power off, hold RESET and power on. Secondly, while still holding RESET wait for the splash screen to load by which you will be prompted with the firmware build date and ROM # installed.

If requested - A link will be e-mailed to you with the 01w service manual for your own personal reference. I find this to be quite useful and informative

Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.

All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
