SACHA CHIMKEVITCH

The spirit and drive of a man who has truly experienced life emanates from the work of Sacha Chimkevitch.

Born August 17, 1920 in Paris.  Chimkevitch began studying architecture at the Beauxs Arts in Paris, but studies were interrupted when he was called to serve his country and taken prisoner of war for five years.  In 1945 he continued his studies with art courses at the Beauxs Arts in Paris, and Le Grande Chamiere.  He is extremely well known as one of the foremost French architectural planners.

Chimkevitch's first exhibit was at Poitiers in 1950.  He then participated in the Premier Salon of Jazz in Paris, the Salon de le Peinture a L'eau, and exhibited his works at the Salon d'Automne in the Museum of Modern Art in Paris,  among many other expositions.
