The Ducks are hand-carved in Indonesia from the Root of the Giant Bamboo.The Giant Bamboo is plantation grown, and highly productive - a 50 foot bamboo pole,once harvested, can re-grow in 50 days. The Animal is made using the Root, or Culm, taken from the base of the Bamboo poles, after harvesting. A cute, collectable item.
