Hotline Shrike 3v & 12v Battery Energiser

This is the NEW version of the Hotline Shrike - a handy low-powered 3v energiser that's been a firm favourite with horse owners for years.

This is a small, very portable 3v fencer that will power up to 800m of electric fence at a voltage of around 580v.

The NEW model still operates as a 3v energiser when running on the 2 D cell batteries (included) but it can also be powered by an external 12v battery with the addition of 12v connection leads that just plug into the side of the energiser (12v battery NOT included). The Shrike has a slightly higher output energy when running on 12v and we recommend using 12v power for rugged horses and Shetlands.

The D cell batteries can be kept within the housing while operating on 12v and they will power the unit if the 12v battery runs right down BUT only once it gets below 3 volts. PLEASE NOTE - this is not the same as a ''back-up battery' system where the alternate power supply kicks in around 10v. 

In this listing we include the 12v connection leads and a 50cm earth stake with this energiser FREE but we also have a listing in our shop for the unit to be sold on it's own.

The earth stake also doubles as a stand - the Shrike can be mounted on the angled part at the top of the stake, very easy to move around the field.

Please note: The 3v D Cell batteries are included so it's ready to get up and running out of the box as a 3v fencer. We include the 12v connection leads but NOT a 12v battery so if you want to run it on 12v, you will need to get a 12v leisure battery.

Ideal strip grazer and very handy for small paddocks and travelling to shows and events.

There is also a small solar panel available that can also power this unit in our shop.
