Roland JW-50 OS 1.02 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT

• This upgrade version 1.02 latest known upgrade issued by Roland for the JW-50.
• Included will be 1 legitimately new ROM chip to complete the upgrade.

The JW-50 is not for sale, only the ROM upgrade chip will be supplied.

• The OS v1.02 upgrade provides bug fixes and finalized system code optimizations.

To verify the current firmware revision installed in your JD-800:

• First, you will have to enter in to rom play mode: Press the [RIGHT CURSOR KEY / |>] located on the cursor key unit and press the [SONG EDIT] key.
• Then hold down [SHIFT] and press the RIGHT CURSOR KEY / |>] key again.
• You will then be prompted with the version number. If you already have this upgrade, you will see: “[Version number] Roland JW-50 version 1.02 16H2"
• Please keep in mind that after upgrading the OS 1.02 ROM, it is suggested that you reinitialize the JW-50 back to factory settings. With that being said, you may end up losing any modified presets that you have created. So it is best to back up all of your preset data before performing the ROM upgrade.
