Why is the polishing service for these Cartier watches more expensive than for the other watches we polish?  They are one of the most time consuming watches that we polish.  Every screw must be individually polished and then masked to be able to add satin finish to the surrounding metal.  Unfortunately some of the masking often falls off causing many areas to have to be redone.  In short it takes the equivalent time of 3 to 5 watch polishings to polish just one of these watches.   In reality the price is a bargain for the amount of time that it takes.  Ever notice how many of these watches are on the market that have had satin finish applied to the entire bracelet including the screws?  It's because many watchmakers and jewelers either don't know how to polish them correctly or they just don't want to spend the time or deal with the hassle of doing the job right.

What you're bidding on:

This listing is for a voucher that is redeemable for the service of polishing your Stainless Steel, 18K/SS, or Solid 18K Gold Cartier Santos watch (or any similar watch that has screws throughout the bracelet) to make it look as new as it can possibly look.  We are meticulous and very careful not to add any unnecessary wear to your watch.  If you send us a watch that's never been polished and it has a nice sharp raised logo on the clasp you can rest assured that your watch will come back scratch free and your brand logo will remain sharp.  You can also expect glossy portions of your watch to be glossy and satin finish areas to be satin with a clear division between the 2 finishes with sharp lines.

Unfortunately many watchmakers and untrained polishers are motivated to get watches done in as little time possible often using aggressive wheels and polishing compounds as well as excessive pressure.   That may get the job done quickly but it doesn't get the job done right.   Doing so can put 30 years of wear on a watch in seconds making all of the sharp edges look rounded and worn out.  Polishing is an art.   There are many trained watchmakers that are excellent at servicing movements but simply can't polish well.  Always ask to see their actual work to judge for yourself.  If they can't show you, well...

Upon receipt of payment we will email you a voucher to claim your polishing service.  It will include our shipping address and instructions.   Simply print it out and include it with your watch.

What is not included:

Please do not assume that anything other than polishing of your watch is included.  This listing does not include a watch.  It is for the polishing of a watch that you provide to us.   It does not include any kind of servicing or parts other than the polishing work to be done on your watch.

Shipping costs are not included in this listing.  The "Shipping" noted in the listing is just for the delivery of your voucher for polishing.  You are responsible for shipping the watch to us.  Upon completion of work you are welcome to send us a prepaid return shipping label OR we can provide a shipping label at cost.   We have discounted shipping costs that may be less than your cost.  The cost will depend on the insured value based on the value of your watch.

Return Policy:

This listing is for a service.  Obviously the service cannot be returned.  Once purchased it is nonrefundable.  If you decide you do not want to have us polish your watch you may either resell your voucher or pass it on to the next owner of your watch and offer it as a benefit to make your watch more desirable (see transferability below).

Duration of Validity and Transferability:

Your voucher is good for a period of 1 year.  Please claim your polishing service within one year.

Your voucher IS transferable.   For example, if you sell your watch and your buyer isn't happy with the condition you can purchase a voucher for your buyer for him/her to send in the watch for polishing.  It can be a nice perk to include in your advertising as well.  Our service will pay for itself by making your watch more presentable in photos and in person when you're trying to resell it, thus increasing the sellability and maximizing your resale price!

Reality Check:

We HAVE been called miracle workers, but please be realistic.   If you send us a watch with little wear on it you can expect it to arrive looking like new or near new even if it's completely covered in light scratches.   If you send us a watch that has already been polished multiple times and/or over-polished, or has a lot of natural wear we can make it look much better but we can't remove wear.  That would require adding metal.  If you have a dented up or gouges, some of those imperfections may remain.
