Any Protestant could read it for Sunday services and sacred celebrations. Complete with an introduction by the author and an index. Written in German in the original fraktur type, this volume is a precious example of 18th century book binding. 788 pages. 7 x 8.5 inches.

Hardback is overall in GOOD- condition.

• Leather covers are severely worn with overall fading and scuffing and clasps are broken with missing straps.  
• Full leather bound.
• Boards show considerable wear from rubbing of edges as well as some dirt and dust along borders. 
• Corners are gently to moderately worn three of them displaying considerable rubbing and exposed boards.
• Spine is in rough condition with 1/3 of spine piece missing. (See photos)
• Binding copy. Some loose signatures, broken and cracked in several places. (See photos)
• Pastedowns display severe toning and some pencil marks.
• Fore and rear ffeps are detached.
• Interior is moderately age-toned and foxed with staining, mostly marginal, on some pages. (See photos)
• Inside pages are otherwise free of writing and intentional marks.
• Text block edges are severely toned and worn with some dust at head.
• Textblock edges have red publisher stains and are deckled. (See photos) 
• Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
