Body Hammers are drop forged from high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and have tempered heads. They have a burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better),  cushion grip fiberglass handles. The hammer was one of the basic hand tools around which the body and fender repair trade was developed. The pick hammer has a long-reach, thin point for low spot on low-crown panels, and it reaches over inner obstructions. Face, 1 ¼” round point, 1/32” radius. Length of pointed end, 5 ½”.
