4Cm Spiritual Nepalese Tingsha Timsha Bells Meditation Relaxation Buddhist Tb1F

Nepal Tingsha.
Nepal Tingsha Bells (pronounced Ting-sha) are small cymbals used in prayer and rituals by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners.
Two cymbals are joined together by a leather strap or chain.
The cymbals are struck together producing a clear and high pitched tone.
Typical sizes range from 2.
54 inches in
diameter (we sell various sizes here).
The bells are not very thin like musical cymbals they are actually quite thick.
They are also not used like musical cymbals, by banging the two flatter surfaces together.
They are played by hitting the two edges together and then allowing them to move apart from each other so that the tone can resonate throughout the room.
Today, tingsha are used along with singing bowls and other instruments in meditation, music and sound healing.
Artists such as Karma Moffett and Perteson Meneses, Joseph Feinstein use multiple pairs of antique tingsha together to create a sonic tapestry effect.
Traditionally, however, tingsha are used as part of specific Tibetan rituals, such as offerings to "hungry ghosts. " While they are commonly found today in musical recordings and yoga classes, their real function is as a religious ritual tool.
The tingshas are hand cast by Tibetan artisans using methods passed down from generation.
When the two pieces strike each other they produce a clear, pure, cleansing sound which can be used to focus the mind before and after meditation.
