Jones-Sports Turnbuckles are drop-forged and hot-dipped galvanized. Drop-forged turnbuckles have a higher tensile strength making them stronger, and less likely to fracture than the formed turnbuckles. What’s the difference between hot-dipped galvanized and electroplated or galvanized? The majority of the turnbuckles sold are electroplated which is less expensive to manufacture but has a much thinner coating process.
