Here is a PAINTING which represents a single Yellow ROSE with Lilacs.

It is signed: Kroll and we can see the name at the back: Josephine Kroll who used to live in California, USA.

It has been sold to me as being Vintage, but as there is no year written, I can't guarantee the age of this painting. I bought it ten years ago.

It looks like some diluted oil paint on a cotton canvas, as it is so delicate that it seems to have been treated like watercolors, but we see that it is not watercolors, but more opaque paints. It could be some acrylics, however it seems thinner than acrylics, more delicate, that is why I think more of diluted oil paints. We can also guess some light pencil under the paint, which gives an even more handmade feeling. This Painting is so delicate and full of sensitivity, so elegant!

The shape is also very elegant: a long rectangular canvas.

Size: 16" long x 7 7/8" wide x 1/2" thick

Condition: There was probably a ribbon or trimmings on the side edges which have been removed, so we can see traces of glue on the side edges (please check photos). It will need a new trimming, or just to be framed. Beside this detail, the painting itself is perfect! Great condition.
