Daily exercise can increase the lifespan of your dog by years.
The pictured leash attached to the dog is not included. You can buy one of these to your desired length most anywhere. What kind and how long of a leash you decide to buy is a matter of personal preference and will also depend on how high you install the cable. You might already have one that will work, or a piece of rope like I am using.
Eye screws or eye bolts are not included. I recommend wrapping the cable around something or use eye bolts where possible. Eye screws in wood can tend to work loose from the motion, or the wood can dry out and split. If using eye screws pre-drill your holes to the minor diameter of the thread and grease or wax the screws.
Very smooth with no sharp points
UV-stabilized for long life and durability
Easy Installation: Lightweight, pliable, weatherproof, and maintenance-free; You can install it with the included 3/16" cable clamps.
Our black vinyl coated aircraft cable is safe, economical, and easy to use. It has high tensile strength, UV-resistance, low elongation. It is impervious to weather and will not rust or corrode, is safe, and a pleasure to work with.
Most of the dog runs are made out of a clear vinyl coated steel cable. The clear vinyl is not UV-resistant and will all peel off within a year or two. Then the cable starts getting rusty. Shortly thereafter if you touch it, you get a metal splinter in your hand. It is an eyesore, and you start thinking about replacing it. Try our cable. I have had this one up for a couple of years, and it looks the same as the day I put it up. We are using this same cable on some other applications around the farm, and it has proven to be very strong and long lasting.
Useful for:
Makes an amazingly good dog run, (See picture above) I have one end tied to my woodshed, the other to the house with a leash attached. We have our black lab using about 100' of this black vinyl coated cable. It blends into the background, and with 2,000 lbs. of tensile strength should be strong enough for any dog or cat lol.
Clotheslines. Trust me on this one, I have hung my clothes out on the line to dry for over 30 years now. If it isn't snowing or raining my clothes go on the clothesline. Your clothes last longer, and it is a big savings on money and electricity. Over the years I have tried several different clothesline materials, most deteriorate quickly, are too stretchy, or break too easily. This product has very high tensile strength and should last 15 to 20 years. It makes an excellent clothesline.
