This is a great honing fluid, whether you own a Tormek sharpening system or not (and seriously, if you don’t, and like sharp tools, look into getting one.) This honing compound is used straight on the T-3, T-4, or T-7 leather wheel strop (or the profiled leather honing wheels) to remove burrs and polish tool edges to razor sharpness. Used after the grinding stone, this 3-micron honing compound (approximately 8000 grit) will buff and polish the edges of Tools, Knives, Wood Chisels, Plane Irons, Spoke Shaves, Carving Tools, Lathe Turning Tools, and Scissors. One application should last for 5–10 tools. You can also use this on a stand-alone leather strop if you wish (but again, if you are interested in sharp tools for your workshop, the Tormek water-cooled sharpening systems really can’t be beat.)
The Tormek PA-70 Honing Compound is used straight on the T-3, T-4, T-7 leather wheel strop or the profiled leather honing wheels to remove burrs and polish tool edges to razor sharpness this 3-micron honing compound. Grain averages 3 microns (approximately 8000 grit). This will buff and polish the edge of tools Knives, Wood Chisels, Plane Irons, Spoke Shaves, Carving Tools, Lathe Turning Tools, Knives, and Scissors after using the Tormek Grindstone. One application should last for 5–10 tools. Work the honing compound into the leather. Do not let the compound dry, apply more oil if necessary.

Once your order has been processed and we have received cleared payment, your item will be shipped as soon as possible. We do not drop-ship. All items ship from our Hartville, Ohio warehouse by either USPS, UPS, or FedEx. With our free shipping offer, we reserve the right to select the carrier and method of shipment.
To speed the order process, if you have both a physical street address and a separate mailing address (e.g. PO Box), please provide both during the checkout process, as it'll prevent any delays from us having to contact you after the fact to obtain further information to complete your order.
As a general guideline, orders that are physically small in size and have a order value of less than $150 are typically shipped by USPS Priority Mail, USPS First Class Mail, or UPS SurePost, so we'll need a valid mailing address to complete. Orders over $150 regardless of size are typically shipped by either UPS Ground or FedEx Ground, so we must have a physical street address to complete the order. For proper insurance and tracking, high value orders cannot be shipped to a PO Box address.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of their receipt. To be eligible for a full-refund, merchandise must be returned with all of its original contents in the same condition in which it was received. Return postage is the customer's responsibility.
If you're order was damaged in shipping (please hang onto the original shipping carton and packing materials) or a manufacturing defect has been found within the 30 day return period, please notify us right away and we'll gladly arrange either a replacement or a refund. Once the returns period has expired, any eligible warranty claims would have to be made directly with the manufacturer.
