Up for sale is a 18k solid gold Combination Snuff Box/Match box or modern day pill box was crafted in the early to late 19th century or early 20th century. (Possibility of being older but we want to be conservative) The decoration is absolutely stunning with a magnificent hunting scene with 3 dogs chasing after a stag on the top. The bottom is adorned with deep hand chased flowers surrounding an angel which is further surrounded by scrolls and foliage in abundance to the entire bottom portion of the box. The 4 side walls are that of ribbed lines making for a wonderful 3 piece morif. This would have been crafted for not only a very wealthy Victorian Gentleman but also someone of importance, The piece is in superb condition for its age. The quality is stunning as you would expect from such a rare and high quality piece. The piece is in overall stunning condition and such a fine example of rare Victorian craftsmanship. Made of solid 19 carat to 20 carat gold at its best ( fully tested ) Would make an ideal modern day pill box or storage box for trinkets or other items.
