Cupric (or Copper) Nitrate appears as blue crystals. It is soluble in water and alcohol and is an oxidizer. Popular in copper patina solutions. It also serves as a mordant in textile dyeing. Other uses include electroplating, creating various finishes on metals, and in paints.
