Offered here is an absolutely breathtaking vintage uchikake--Japanese for wedding kimono, near 6 feet long with heavily padded hem, worn as a coat trailing along the floor. It is made in white rinzu (silk satin damask), less heavy than the traditional brocade.  The roundels and the wave pattern are painted entirely by hand (the technique is called "yuzen"), with such precision of execution. The color palette is quite unusual and highly sophisticated. Embroidery is also incorporated--especially the gold threaded outlines--to further accent the already elaborate designs.
