SMD50A lamps provide easy replacement by eliminating tedious and time consuming lead-forming common to raw bulbs.  These are the latest version lamps with the YELLOW-BASE.  BLUE colored base lamps were used on original production and through 2007.  YELLOW-BASE production replacement lamps were introduced in 2008 as part of visual identification on GM warranty repairs requiring their replacement. Please consider replacing any BLUE-BASE lamp for improved reliability.
