These are plain smooth nappa leather with super soft grip with leather hand-stops on the outside to help keep an even contact; non stretch and extremely flexible.These will not 'catch' if your horse has a long mane like rubber reins can sometimes do if you ride an Arab, Native or Baroque type with long mane. These reins feel wonderful in the hands, so lightweight and soft - great for those with smaller hands and fingers!
