These SMD50A lamps provide easy repair by eliminating tedious and time consuming lead-forming common to raw bulbs. These are the current version of production lamps. You can easily recognize original lamps by the blue colored bases used through 2007. Yellow base production lamps were introduced in 2008 as part of visual identification on GM warranty repairs. Please consider changing any BLUE-BASE lamp for improved reliability.
