Mercedes ML Series ATE ABS Control Module and Motor TIER 2 REBUILD!
You must send in the solenoid pack AND hydraulic pump and motor for this rebuild.

This auction is for a TIER 2 Mercedes ATE ABS Control Module and Motor rebuild.

Please check the following BEFORE sending in your Mercedes Solenoid Pack AND pump motor:
  • If your pump motor is running DO NOT send in your Mercedes module; there is an external relay located in the fuse panel (K25) that is the cause of this.
  • There is a ground behind the driver side headlight that, if faulty, will make it seem like the ABS control module is bad; please check this ground BEFORE sending your module in for rebuild.
Be aware that additional parts of the ABS system may be at fault as well.  Please READ this auction CAREFULLY to make sure you've selected the correct TIER rebuild for your Mercedes ATE module:
  • TIER 1 (one):
    • This is the simplest (and cheapest) rebuild that only involves the solenoid pack (as shown in the auction photo). 
    • If the ML320 ABS system is showing open solenoid or pump motor error codes with a vehicle UNDER 75k miles and you have confirmed the pump motor is in working order; the TIER 1 rebuild is all that is required at this time.

  • TIER 2 (two):  (OPTIONAL)
    • This level involves BOTH the solenoid pack AND the pump motor. 
    • We rebuild the solenoid pack as in TIER 1 and we replace worn out brushes in the motor. 
    • This option is only needed IF your motor still runs, but you would like to prolong its life.  If your vehicle has OVER 75k miles and the motor is functioning, we recommend purchasing the TIER 2 (auction you are currently reading) rebuild. 
    • A weak pump motor draws extra power which damages the control module solenoid pack; you will only pay for the TIER 1 rebuild if the motor is in proper working order.  
    • You must send in the solenoid pack AND hydraulic pump and motor for this rebuild.
This TIER 2 rebuild applies to the following vehicles:
  • Mercedes ML-Series
  • Various years and models may apply
  • Please VERIFY that your ABS module is the same as the one in the auction photo before sending in for rebuild.
  • You must send in the solenoid pack AND hydraulic pump and motor for this rebuild.

This TIER 2 rebuild should correct the following issues with YOUR Mercedes ATE:

  • Faulty solenoid error codes
  • Open or shorted pump motor code
  • Intermittent functionality
  • Water damage
  • Weak/intermittent pump motor
  • You must send in the solenoid pack AND hydraulic pump and motor for this rebuild.

  • Handling times are longer because this is a rebuild service; we have to wait for you to ship your ABS module to us for rebuild.  UPS Ground can take up to 10 business days to get to us.
     
    Please make sure you read the auction carefully as there are 2 rebuild Tiers to choose from.
    Did you select the correct Tier rebuild?
  • PLEASE include the following when sending your ABS module to us:
    • Year Make and Model of the vehicle that the ABS module is out of.
    • Description of the issues you are having with your ABS module.
    • Contact information or PayPal receipt with a phone number we can reach you at.

  • You must send in the solenoid pack AND hydraulic pump and motor for this rebuild.

  • Wrap the ABS module in bubble wrap inside a sturdy cardboard box so it doesn't move around.
  • Allow several inches of padded space between the ABS module and inner walls of the box.
  • ABS modules NOT packaged carefully can, and will, break while in transit.
  • DO NOT use large air pouches as they will deflate and become useless.
  • You are responsible for shipping your ABS module to us. 

  • The shipping that is included in the auction is for the return shipping back to you, we cover shipping on SOME auctions and the default is USPS Priority.  If you would like your ABS module shipped back faster, please select a different shipping option.
