To ensure you have the right outleted IBC to fit this IBC fitting you should double check that your IBC outlet is 2 inches wide and has a very coarse buttress thread (having a maximum of 2 or 3 threads) on the outside.
The adaptor is a strong plastic fitting that comes with a very thick seal.
