This advert is for 1 x Indian Mugdar Solid Wooden Club I got these in Rajesthan after spending some time there and using my connections to locate such a hard to find item.
As is normal in india they will not be perfect as the are hand made and will have flaws in the paint, chips and the like but they are the genuine article for sale in Rajesthan.
These are genuine indian imports and made from dense heavy wood. The club is carved from one piece of wood. I've now imported them back into the UK after making the contact and am testing to see if there is a market.
I basically bought some for myself and some for the company to sell. We sell a 3.7kg version in our other adverts. If anyone is interested I can get different sizes in. Dimensions Weight 3kg
Background The use of Mugdar in India and Persia goes back as much as 2000 years! Club swinging is one of the disciplines of varzesh-e pahlavani (Sport of heroes), an ancient Persian physical training system to improve strength, mobility, coordination and not least, to increase mindfulness. Warriors needed to improve multiple physical abilities while developing their spirituality at the same time.
