Ikegami HL-V77WP Professional DVCPRO Broadcast Camera

Professional vintage Ikegami broadcast/ENG camera complete with viewfinder and Ikegami microphone as pictured.

The camera was working correctly previously.

It has been powered up for testing and the camera section is operational and produces a live picture through the viewfinder, as shown in the photographs.

However, there is currently a fault with the DVCPRO VTR/tape section. The cassette carrier is stuck in the open/ejected position and will not retract, meaning the tape door cannot be closed.

The camera also displays a “VTR BACKUP BATTERY WORN” warning. The internal VTR backup battery will therefore require replacement.

Because of the cassette mechanism issue, recording and playback have not been tested, so the complete camera is being sold as faulty / for repair, restoration or parts.

Cosmetically it is in good used condition for its age, with marks, scratches and general wear from professional use. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

Included:

* Ikegami HL-V77WP camera body

* Ikegami viewfinder

* Ikegami microphone

* Attached cables/components shown

* DVCPRO cassette currently in the mechanism

* No battery or charger unless specifically pictured/provided

The HL-V77W was a professional broadcast camera using three 2/3-inch FIT CCD sensors and DVCPRO25 recording. It supports switchable 16:9 and 4:3 operation.

Please note: Due to the VTR/tape mechanism fault, this is being sold strictly as a repair/project unit despite the camera section powering up and displaying an image.
