About the Artwork & Artist
Born in Panama, Keith Llewellyn De Carlo served in the U.S. Marine Corps before moving to Europe, where he formally studied art in Paris, Rome, and Barcelona. Known for his distinctive modernist animal depictions and bold graphic design sensibilities, De Carlo's works perfectly encapsulate the iconic flair of 1960s and 1970s Mid-Century architecture and decor. This particular piece demonstrates his genius for capturing dynamic animal movement through clean lines, geometric balance, and a soft, horizontally banded gradient background.
