Vintage Austrian tricolour hanging pennant featuring the traditional red, white and red national colours.

An older sewn fabric example with a distinctive pointed design, constructed from separate coloured panels rather than printed material. It forms part of a matching collection of vintage European national pennants, including Italian and Spanish examples.

Heavily used vintage condition with considerable age-related wear, staining, discolouration, small holes, thinning fabric, fraying and loose threads. The white central panel has developed a pronounced aged patina, while the reinforced heading shows substantial marks and wear.

An old handwritten FF marking is present, also found on other pennants from the same collection. Its original significance is unknown.

A characterful vintage European banner with attractive decorative appeal and plenty of original patina.
