You are bidding on a post WW2 British dog tag. Engraved with 23257011 C of E ( Church of England ) POYNTZ. To the rear O RH and a cross, possibly his blood group?
On searching 23257011 POYNTZ a John David Pierrepont POYNT was found, starting life in the Royal Engineers .
Later transferred to the Royal Corps of transport, becoming 2nd Lieutenant, Lieutenant and then Captain.
Served in the Indonesian/Borneo campaign.
Measures in diameter 3.5cm.
Good condition.
