This collectible piece features Richards' iconic embossed metal scales displaying a faux-wood rustic branch pattern alongside the historic "Tent Mark" logo, making it a highly recognizable staple of mid-century British pocket cutlery heritage.
The knife was made in England by Richards of Sheffield. The handle appears to be made from embossed sheet steel (tin-clad scales) and the blade and metal parts from carbon steel. The knife's main blade is approx. 6.5 cm (overall closed length is approx. 8.5 cm, opening to roughly 15 cm). The knife appears to be from approx. 1950s–1960s.
The condition of the knife is in fair to good vintage condition. There is signs of age and use. The knife may need sharpening, cleaning and oiling. The metal scales show typical age-related surface patina and minor scuffing, but the text and logos remain highly legible. The blade shows signs of standard sharpening wear, but the original profile and clip tip are intact.
These knifes could be used but are more intended for collectors. I've done me best to identify and describe the details of the knife. The photos are the best description, as this is the item you will receive.
